2004 Colorado sporadic problem when applying the brakes
My 2004 Colorado sporadically when applying the brakes, usually when approaching my first forward stop after getting in the vehicle, the peddle will not move and brakes will not apply. Then upon momentary release and pressing peddle again they work normally and continue to work normally' but the "abs fault" is displayed. Then sometime later the "abs fault" will just go off. It will continue this behavior sporadically. Any ideas
Have your brakes inspected ASAP. The ABS light is not normal, nor is the brakes not working. Your leaving yourself and others at risk. Without looking at the truck, we don't know if your pads are just worn, the fluid is low, or any other braking issue or component is faulty.
Colorados have issues with the rear brakes not working if you take it to a place not familiar with those vehicles. We've had a few as delivery vehicles at my job. HTH. -Jim
