I have a cavalier with a 2.2 engine and the coil pack module has went out 3 times within a year. what could be making this happen?
My 2004 chevy cavalier has a 2.2 motor in it and I have replaced the coil pack module 3 times now within the last year. new spark plugs also. Does anyone know why this would keep happening?
Are you buying new ones or used ones? If new where are you getting them?
Used. I am afraid to buy new in case there could be something wrong in another area and causing the part to go bad. I understand they could be bad when i bought them, however, with it being a common problem of the 2.2l engine, i was wondering if a problem elsewhere could be causing my modules to crap out.
Well if its a common problem then buying used ones isn't the solution. I would tune the car with 4 new plugs and coil packs and be done with it.
