How many O2 sensors does my 2004 Tacoma SR5 TRD pickup have?

Check engine light is on. Only 51,000 miles. local Mech says O2 sensor shot,
have to cut out section and weld in new section sensor mount too rusted to try
to remove. once it's out he can replace sensor for 4-500 bucks!
