how reliable is a 2004 toyota RAV4

I've found a 2004 RAV4 with 186411.358 miles on it I've heard that the mileage
is too higher but i've also heard that this car has a high lifespan, would it be bad
idea to buy it?

It depends on Maintenance and condition. How many miles do you drive a year and if the engine or transmission failed on it, do you have extra money to replace the assembly and or vehicle?

I'm buying it from a mechanic and it has been looked after very well, that and it's only a 3 grand car. I just wanna make sure that i don't flush 3 grand down the toilet. and it's gonna be my first car so i'm not sure how much i'd be using it.
