My 2002 Toyota Camry 4 Cyl, XLE, won't start
My 2002 Camry 4cyl would not start for first time this morning. Normally if it doesn't start right away I just tap the gas pedal lightly once and try it again and that always works. This time I tried that several times with that and with out that. Then I left the peddal all the way down and tried that several times till finally my battery started to run down then I quit an used my spare car to go to work.'
If I have the same problem next time what things do I check?
If car turns over repeatedly but will not fire up, I would say you have a bad fuel pump. First check your fuses and relays. If all seems good, check for spark. If you have good spark, have someone turn the key to accessory and see if you can hear the fuel pump hum. You can take off the gas cap and put your ear to the hole, or put a screw driver to gas tank and put your ear on the handle. If no humming noise, your fuel pump is shot.
