My 2000 v6 toyota camry turns on but just for a second and goes off right after it goes on. Only when is hot. In the mornings generally it turns on fine for like 15 minutes. Some said to check the fuel pump, and alternator, but they are fine, i think it has to do with the plastic connectors that go in to the camshaft position sensor that are falling apart for so much heat on the sidesn and an electritian man did a new one just the ends so it would connect the sensor tightly, but is going off when the car is on after 15 minutes or so. What should i do? replace the sensor? i can´t find the original connectors

Step 1. Have it read for codes, even if the check engine light is NOT on the computer will have stored information and codes. Discount auto stores will read codes for no fee. write them down.
