car died wont start has gas has fire but is weak
If you have weak fire, then I would replace the distributor cap, rotor, plugs and wires. Post back with results....
I will assume this vehicle has a good battery and cranks over well. You might consider this: (1) Is the engine oil contaminated. Repeated no starts could wind up with fuel loading the cylinders and migrating the crankcase. Pull the dipstick and smell the oil. You should not start an engine with gas in the oil. (2) Pull the spark plugs and inspect for gas/oil fouling. Clean replace as required. (3). Perform a compression test. (4) If the check engine light came on in the near past....check the computer for codes. Let us know the results of any or all of these posted sugestions.
