Quart of oil overfill is it harmful

2006 Chevy Impala 3.5 L it takes 4 quarts
of oil Walmart put in 5 is it going to harm
my engine?

Overfilling the engine with oil can damage your engine and exhaust. I'm assuming you're trying to just buy a 5 quart jug of oil and dump it all in? Not the best idea. Just pour in the manufacturer recommended 4 quarts and keep the extra for top-offs(if it leaks or burns oil) or just use it in your next oil change.
