when accelerating from a stop the engine hesitates then kicks in fine after that

just from a stop the car seems to hesitates a minute the catches and dreive fine until next stop but doesnts always do it

Did you read the codes yet ? Have you done regular maintenance to the car ?

Defiantly check the codes. Also your spark plugs/ spark plug wires are worth checking.

The sluggish acceleration is more than likely from a bad mass air flow sensor. When the PCM collects the wrong information from this senor it injects too much fuel. This will also throw a code.Chevy is a PO101
