i have 02 pontiac grand prix se and it starts up only three time and sometimes i go to shut it off it doesnt start again

there are few things that can cause what you are saying, check for a bad throttle position sensor easy part to change. I would also read the fuel pressure after you shut the car off on restart and see what the pressure is, you could have a leaking injector as well. While you are there check the MAF sensor.
