Car Won't Start

My car took a while to start & today I drove it to the
store then I came home I turned it off then went to
start it again it would crank over but not start tried
two more times then it just mad a weird noice then
it just clicked then I smelt a burning smell Any
ideas .?

It's not the battery. Could have been the starter burning out though. Have that checked, and if its not that check the wiring to see if you can find what fried. In other words find the problem before you start replacing things.
