Sorry didn't complete my question. I have a 2001 GP GT with only 67000 miles. Recently the engine starting making a ticking sound like a lifter problem. I had the oil changed and had a few cleaning agents added that advertised it could/would fix this problem. Am i looking at a major engine repair? Can I do further damage by driving the car?

are you burning any oil? leaking oil? have you checked to see if its an exhaust manifold leak? and im not sure how hard it is but you could pop the valve covers off and take a quick look to see if all is well in there also
