shift interlock

Asked by Nov 27, 2013 at 04:02 PM about the 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GT Coupe

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was told my shift interlock has been over ridden. What is this and what is the cost.

this is so that you cannot engage reverse while moving...so that you cannot take the key out unless the thing is in park...I personally would leave it disconnected...but that's just me~

it is probably a matter of re-connecting a connector that has been disconnected~(whoa)~

follow the wires coming off of the shift lock interface and plug them back in~
