How to change alternater in 1999 grand prix

If it's anything like my 2005 Escape, you'll have to.jack up the motor. A real PIA.

Changing the alternator in a 99 grand prix is a very easy fix. Youll need a basic socket set. Get a 15MM onto your tension pulley to loosen your belt from the alternator. There should be 2 or 3 bolts holding the alternator down un bolt them ( either 13MM or 15MM) Unhook your alternator electrical connections Remove and replace alternator.
