Transmission swap

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Will a transmission from a 99 grand prix gt work in
a 02 grand prix. My 99 has a bad body but a good
motor and transmission and I found the 02 for
cheap with a bad transmission good motor no
other details than that waiting for them to get back
to me. If the motor is the same can I swap
transmissions if not how much extra goes in to
swapping both my motor and transmission
