You should check your vin for recalls. I have a 2001 Grand Am and found that there were 2 recalls announced on parts so they extended the warranty for those known issues. One is the turn signals will completely stop working out of nowhere because of the faulty hazard switch which was recall number one. I don't remember the specifics of the second one but the symptom was the turn signal relay burning out because of excess use... Which is the constant clicking of the relay. Like I said I don't remember the exact cause of the activated relay but it is a known issue to both GM and Pontiac. The extended warranty is long expired but you should be able to find the recall on the Pontiac website and then know what you need to repair or replace. I think I remember a discussion about that where opening the steering column and cleaning a switch that may be "gummed" up. This may be the control arm at the column. Anyway, hope my ramblings have helped a little.

you need to replace a relay fuse. check your manual for the fuse that runs the blinker and replace it. you have 3 fuze boxes. one on the drivers side, one on the passenger side and one under the hood.
