Car starts, idles, then dies

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi, I have a 1998 Pontiac grand am se with the 2.4
twin cam. The car will start fine and when the key is
turned over you can hear the pump prime. From a
cold start it'll run for a random amount of time then
die over and over. Once it's up to a certain temp it'll
run longer but still dies if you try to drive it. It used
to only die every once in a while when attempting to
pull out of the drive way. It was giving an error
saying the 3rd cylinder wasn't firing so we replaced
the ignition coil(picture attached) and it got rid of
the CEL. After changing that doing an oil change
and new brakes all around and drums in the back,
now it started dying randomly and A LOT more
often, any ideas?
