is the clutch assembly on a 95-98 pontiac sunfire compatible with the clutch assembly on a 97 pontiac grand am gt ?

Asked by Feb 24, 2016 at 01:56 PM about the 1997 Pontiac Grand Am 2 Dr GT Coupe

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 97 Pontiac grand am gt, 4 cylinder, with a 5 speed manual transmission. I cannot find a clutch assembly for it, but found a clutch assembly for a 95-98 Pontiac sunfire. I need to know if the parts are interchangeable, I know that some things are.

Well, looking up the part numbers, they are different, I'd have to say no.
