How do you know the head gasket is fine? Ok let's go with that, then the head and/or block is cracked

Don't know why I seemed to think that oil in the water jacket were prefered to water in the crankcase. They are both EVIL dilemmas which will take the better part of a weekend to put right. Don't know that grannygoose has it in 'im~
