How do you know the head gasket is fine? Ok let's go with that, then the head and/or block is cracked

better than water in oil!~

How long were you able to drive it this way?

grannydean can you at least respond to us?

he/she is tending to the vehicle right now....or eating a salami sandwich.

Don't know why I seemed to think that oil in the water jacket were prefered to water in the crankcase. They are both EVIL dilemmas which will take the better part of a weekend to put right. Don't know that grannygoose has it in 'im~
