I have a 98 Mitsubishi montero sport xls, the check engine light came on and has went off but now it will not go you can hold the pedal to the floor it just won't go. It only goes in reverse please help the only way I have to go and I have a baby???

sounds like a shift solenoid is out of it,, I'll look and see how you can pull a code at home,

I tried to find how to pull the code without a scanner but I didn't find anything, looks like you need to get a scanner to get the code,, I have a strong feeling its what I already told you in my last post though and that is that its a shift solenoid or something to do with that.. also check your transmission fluid if its too low it wont let you shift your car correctly
