Overheating Problem

My car use to overheat because the
thermostat housing was worn out to the point
that it would spill all the coolant I recently got
that fixed everything is working fine now the
coolant no longer spills; however, the car
now overheats when I make a complete stop,
and then once I start moving again it cools
back down. Why is this happening?

Thermostat and or fan switch. If your thermostat wasn't replaced with the housing fire your mechanic.. If it starts to overheat while motionless it's a good sign your fan isn't coming on. Easy replacement part fixes.
Yep make sure fans are working. Motors, relays or coolant temperature sensor.

If everything checks out with the first two advise may have air in system bleed air from system like this remove cap from overflow tank fill with antifreeze to full mark leave cap off and start vehicle and let idle you will notice level in tank start to rise this is normal once thermostat starts to open level in tank will drop add more antifreeze to full mark then put cap back on.
