There are a few certain driving sequences you need to preform to reset your monitors do a google search to find your specific car

No it's not the check light. It's called obd2 rediness monitors. When you reset a battery they reset these monitors to incomplete. I had baught a 1997 turbo eclipse spyder in amazing shape that wouldnt reset these monitors in thousands of miles. The catalitic was plugged up bad as well and had blue oil burning smoke coming out of tailpipe during smog check, haha. Anyways after seven months of reading and experamenting many things i figured them out. Oh and ps i tried all those stupid drive cycles and went hundreds of miles doing them with no luck. Found this mexican guy on youtube who showed me how. Drive 60 miles per hour on the freeway for five minutes not touching your break at all. Dont drop below 55 and not above 65mph. After five minutes keep it in drive and pull to the side of road where its safer to stop and pull your emergency break slowly till you stop. Five seconds later you can go with all of them set ready. If not do it one last time and your good to go. And a obd2 computer reader will show if there ready or not . Just hunt for the monitor status on there. And a quick tip , you can clean your catalitic if you can unbolt it put it in a 5 gallon bucket and take it too a carwash preasure washer. Flip it over and over till you get all this nasty sandy dirt crap out then put it back on and good to go. Ps i know how to get out of smog checks also just ask. hint just google, dmv statement of fact. Hope i helped alot of people with this.
