A thermostat is under $20 with the new gasket. Couldn't hurt to change it even if it's not the issue, but most likely that would fix it.

    The engine fan has been coming on even though the gauge shows normal temperature. I have noticed recently a smell that makes me think of a hot engine after driving it for awhile.

    Fuel gauge is stuck on over filled when I turn car off it goes down a little bit. When I turn car back on it goes back up over filled. Happened after I jumped someone's other car.
