Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car starts with a jump but when take the jumper
cables off the headlights go off then it will run for a
little then cut off

Could be both. Bad alternator probably made battery bad.

Go on rockauto and put both cars in and see if they list the same motorcraft model number.
