Knocking - when does it happen? Where is it coming from? When did you discover it? When does it change?

it burns oil.....no oil leaks.....don't know where the ticking/knocking is coming from.........my oil levels are normal ....it ticks/knocks while it idling and when driving

If it's ticking all the time, it could be a collapsed lifter for the valves. If it knocks on acceleration, it could be a rod bearing.

sounds like the timing is way too soon, 'course maybe this is an engine to where the distributor does not exist, so it's gotta be a vaccuum leak, you could use an unlit propane torch to find it...the speed will increase when you find it~

still maintain that it's the vacuum line what connects the fuel pressure regulator, would go defective...leak vacuum causing high idle/and fast timing and would not regulate the fuel to the rail~
