Just replaced the idler pulley on my 97 grand cherokee since it was bent out of shape, and now the belt doesnt completely cover the new pulley, how big of an issue is this?

Pretty big issue. Replace the tensioner and bolt. No belt means no cooling, alternator, or power steering.

I understand this but everything works fine, the belt is still aligned on everything else, it’s just off on the new pulley about a couple centimeters
