Help fix my trunk

I own 1996 Grand Cherokee limited 5.2 V8,
issue is I have to push extra hard under the
trunk handleand pull the handle at the same
time to open it, any ideas to help fix it?

the latch probably needs to be lubricated. I would use white lithium grease, it will last longer than wd-40. if that doesn't do it, you may need the adjust the latch itself. it might have gotten loose and moved.

So I don't spend extra money should I just use wd40 to test that theory

If you have access to an air compressor I'd try blowing the thing out first, due to where it is located a lot of road dirt can get inside from water on the roads then lube it.

My buddy has a mini one, he does air brush shirts, think that is powerful enough?

Nope, then try a water nozzle on stream and wash out as much dirt as you can get then let dry for day or two then lube it.
