what is the pros of cutting out the cat in my car
I can't think of any. A good catalytic convertor is better than none. Cleans the air, supplies the necessary back pressure to the engine, etc.
You may gain a couple more horsepower, but if you live in a state that makes you pass a smog test, you will fail. Then you will have to spend big bucks to by another. Unless you keep it and just weld in a straight pipe. Not sure but if you have an O2 sensor on the downstream side of the cat, that may cause your check engine light to come on which is a no pass for a smog test also.
Not a good idea unless you are racing only. There are perf cats available too with larger dia inlet & outlets for bigger exhaust tubes. And I think this removal messes-up the O2 sensor. JIMZ
more cons then pros in my opinion.unless you want to put the stock exhaust each time you need to pass smog.
