ny a/c clutch will not engage
Yeah, you probably need to replace the whole unit, unless you feel like saving a few hundred bucks to just replace the clutch. When it comes to these units it is wise to replace the whole unit- around $1400.
I'd have a look or have someone else have a test for the high and low pressures. You may have a leak or just low on freon If your low on freon the sensor(s) should prevent the a/c from engaging. Other thoughts if your o.k. on freon level are fuses and relay. Good Luck!
