when I jumped my 1991 Ranger the hot line slipped and touched the neg. pole. When I tried to start the ranger the all it would do is click,even after I put in a new Battery. Help!!!!

even with new battery it wont start.

Check your cables at the starter. If you can twist them by hand they need cleaned and retightened. If you want you can call me at 740-894-7600 days, 740-237-2550. It could also be the solenoid, the thing bolted on top of the starter. Sounds like a starters your best bet. Here"s a test while a friend turns the key, tap gently (real gently) on the starter. If it starts then replace it.
