Why does my Grand Caravan engine shudder on acceleration?
The problem started a while back. I noticed just a little hesitation on a gentle acceleration. It has gotten progressively more pronounced and now feels like a shudder. I don't think it is a problem with gas, since I've filled it several times from different vendors. What is the most likely cause, and is it expensive?
There is the posibility that your CV joints are going out, as they can impart vibration during acceleration, as well as the usual noises when turning. Also, re-checking your transmission fluid level and having your transmission bands adjusted may help. Replacing CV joins would be the more expensive route if it is needed, and getting basic transmission tune-ups is not usually very expensive ( unless something is found ). Just ideas......
Check your fuel filter also.
