Question type: Maintenance & Repair

tried to start vehicle 4 times and same result. now wont try to start at all.  all
dash lights are off and when i turn the key on the headlamps come on. key
fob does not work the door locks, door openers, or panic button. this
vehicle had an emission test done on it today where they connected the
obd2 connector to it.(dont know if that matters) drove it across the street to
work and parked it left key in the ignition (off and half pulled out) and 9
hours later these problems occurred.. i know that the battery / spark / fuel
is good as the vehicle started with no issue until it shut down 2-3 seconds
later.  need help to find issue  as i need to work again in the morning.

had someone come out to my car to reprogram my key but he said that it has nothing to do with the key or the security system he says its electrical and needs to go to a shop to be diagnosed.. i really dont wanna spend that kind of money to have it diagnosed.. that gets way too expensive way too fast.. any ideas where to start looking?

Got the problem solved. The passenger rear door wiring harness split and had some bare wires thet shorted against the body causing the computer to shut down. Replaced harness and all is well again
