I have a 2002 ford explorer v6 4x4 and my tranny went can I replace it with a 2005 v6 4x4? Please help

I doubt it. I believe 2003 was the last year of the model type. Sometime after they turned the explorer into a soccer mom type vehicle. An internet check should verify your question.
