How do I refasten gas pedal to the body of 1993 ford ranger xlt?

Asked by GuruN1CQR Nov 03, 2019 at 04:35 PM about the 1993 Ford Ranger XLT Standard Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was driving, did not punch the accelerator, with
my foot lightly on the gas pedal, the bolts broke
and the gas pedal fell on the floor. It’s on the side of
a road at the moment. Can I screw it back on to the
body ; where the pedal was originally mounted?

What’s the best way to fix this issue? Accelerator
cable seems fine.

Hard to say. We would need a photo of know where the bolts broke at? You would need new bolts if possible and drill out an extract the others. For safety, I'd have the car towed to a shop or your house so you can repair safety. Call AAA.
