i have a 2002 crown vic and afte it sits for a few hours and i got to start it... it turns over starts up and dies ... if i hold the gas for a minute or two it stays running whats my problem..?

Probably the chip in your key has failed. Try using your spare key, if you have one, other than that I see a probable trip to your local friendly Ford Dealer.
