Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2008 Mercury Grand Marquis- the gas guage doesn't show the car full of gas after I fill it up with gas. After I drive off, it takes anywhere from an hour to days before the gas guage moves up to showing the tank full of gas. Why?

You probably have a defective 'Fuel Sending Unit' which is located inside the gas tank.
