No power on low end

Asked by Jrpalofox Jul 08, 2017 at 04:15 AM about the 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Extended Cab RWD

Any help would be appreciated. I have a04
silverado v6 4.3. I recently changed out  cats do to
codes and the extreme loss of power on low end
and high end. Completely clogged. Recently
changed out plugs and wires as well as distributor
rotor and cap. I did regain some power and better
mpg. However I use my rig to tow a 5x8 trailer every
day do to my employment (contractor) I'm
constantly carrying my power tools and some heavy
equipment (power washers gang box paint sprayer
and more) when not towing trailer at a dead stop I
can floor it and will start to see power at 35 maybe
45 and you could imagine while I'm towing trailer.
I'm completely stuck someone help.

starts and idles O.K. ? I don't know check the EGR function and fuel pressure , check the injectors one might be stuck open , ,those cats clogged up for a reason ,what does the exhaust look like ? , does it act like that without the trailers ? Honestly I think you need a V-8 for hauling .

Yes sir it starts and idles it's great on gas no miss fire runs like a champ.... after I reach 30-40 mph. My busddy has the same truck (single cab) short bed same size motor but there is a big difference in power between the 2. I don't lose to much power when towing the trailer but it is noticeable and when commuting without the trailer It is a lil better but no much of a difference.
