Replaced my hub on my 2001 1500 silverado 4x4, noticed roters were extremyl worn, replaced roters and pads, now driver side is blistering hot, clips on calipers were extremely rusty,
Sounds like the caliper pins were not lubed properly or the caliper piston is not retracting back properly.
The pins were in excellent shape I added more grease, the pistons compressed very easily with a pair if chanel locks ? Any other thouhgts Thanks
Did you spray off rotors with brake clean before installing ? If not the light grease that they out on them to keep them from rusting will cause the problem you are having and would definitely cause the smoking.
