Hi
I plan to purchase a 2011 Lexus RX 350 and undecided whether to purchase
an AWD or FW model.
I live in Lakewood WA where it might snow once or twice a year and take a
road trip in the summer usually on paved roads and sometimes on gravel or
hard packed dirt forest roads.
Would a FWD vehicle do for this type of driving since it has traction control or
an AWD have more an advantage to it?

Traction control does virtually nothing. In fact it can actually stop forward progress when you get into slippery conditions. I vote for AWD.
