I have just brought a new battery for my legnum but the idle thing goes right down and then my car cuts out. Can you tell me how to or what to fix.

Its a 96 mitsubishi legnum v6

Have you driven it a lot like that?. Sometimes when you disconnect the battery the ECU must re-learn, and that can take up to 20-30 miles. Maybe, just maybe that's all it is. If it continues after that you probably should run an OBD scan
