Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1994 ford explorer 4x4. And I
sprayed water on the carpet in the front
floorboards. Then it wouldn't start. So I
thought the fuel pump went out so I
replaced it and the filter. My wife said
maybe I shorted something out with the
water. So we shop vacced any water that
was under the carpet, then the pump started
working when we tried it again, but it's not
pumping fuel through the one from the
pump to the filter. The filter is dry. Any help
would be great.
