Negotiating
I've never negotiated price on a used car
before. Is the price on car gurus a
negotiable price? In other words, will a
dealer come off of that any, and if so, how
do I go about asking him to? Just say
"pretty pleeeeeez!"??

Car sales are ALWAYS negotiable! Most sellers expect the buyer to ask for a lower 'best price.' If you're paying cash or with a cashier's check instead of financing the car, that's another plus on your side for negotiation since it means a faster sale. You're in the driver's seat as the buyer, so don't be afraid to ask. Worst case -- they'll say no. Best case -- you save some money! It's better to have the extra money in your pocket instead of theirs. If they won't come down on the price, you can ask for product extras such as new floor mats or a trunk liner. Tell them how much you're willing to pay for the car and the negotiating will begin. It's easy -- so go for it!
