Car owner's need to ask questions before they turn their baby over to a shop for repairs.
Check with friends,relatives,Better Business Bureau,Board of Trade for starters.....

Get 2 or 3 written estimates , know what the consumer protection laws are where you live , if after doing all that you still get ripped off ; then write the local newspaper (some have Consumer Advocates ), report to the government licencing agency , report to a local Dealer's Association (if they were a dealer) ........ don't just lay down....There are laws to protect the public from bad ( and illegal) business practices.
