how do you know when to replace the transmission fluid on a 2002 ford xlt 4x4?

my explorer has 200,000 miles and still runs good but how do you replace the transmission fluid?

At 200,000 miles on a 13 year old vehicle I'd leave it alone. Especially if it's not giving you trouble. In this case, if it works, don't fix it. HTH. - Jim

I agree with Jim, leave it alone unless you know the fluid has been changed in the last 50,000 miles or so.
