find a mechanic's radiator pressure tester, put it on your radiator cap, pump it up to 17psi, and wait for the geyser. If we are lucky will be just a loose hose clamp, if we have rotten luck will be a leaky heatercore- head gasket is a weekend job, cracked head is expensive and more than a weekend job, worried that you are mentioning a cracked head? who put this idea out there? could be a rotted hose-

I'd pull the sparkplugs and see if coolant is present. I'd take a look at the exhaust for presence of coolant...you cannot keep putting plain water in there, it is not good and you should switch to 50/50 mix asap.~

cracked gasket ,cracked head ,wont drip water out, fix the leaking rad. or hose ,heaters need a full fill to work correctly as they are up so high low water is lower than the heater itself. .waters ok above 32 degrees for now too costly to let leak out and will poison pets .very dangerous for pets ,course money comes first in our world
