05 tucson battery and brake lights on

Asked by Jul 18, 2014 at 09:24 PM about the Hyundai Tucson

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My daughters 05 Tucson battery and brake dashboard lights are on but we can hot figure out why.

The battery reads 12.5 v both with the engine running and off.
The brake fluid looks OK (close to max line. There is some fluid in the neck of the break fluid bottle that appears to not drop into the chamber.
Any ideas why these lights are on?

Your alternator is not charging. When the engine is running your battery voltage should be around 13.5-14.1
