electrical problems on Hyundai Tucson 2010

Asked by Vic840 Aug 25, 2018 at 12:36 PM about the 2010 Hyundai Tucson Limited AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I need some help. After getting the windshield replace (and the workplace
assured me that it had no coincidence whatsoever if electrical prolems has
appeared since then), my door won’t unlck UNLESS the motor is on. Same
thing for locking the doors, the engine has to be turned on. Plus, interiors
lights is not working anymore (even if the engine is on). Anyone have an idea
of what could cause the problem ? (the fuse box have already been inspected
and everything is working fine.). Thanks !!!!

Sounds like your wiring has some problems. If you can pinpoint the date these changes took place, you should go back to the windshield replacement company and tell them that, and ask them to fix what they broke in your wiring. Of course they told you it had nothing to do with their work. They have to tell you that so as to not have to try and fix the problems. Those are some pretty bizarre things that are happening! And it's not right, obviously. I'm not familiar enough with your wiring setup to know if those things' wiring is near the windshield. Otherwise you probably need to take your car to the dealer and have them diagnose it. Not fix it, just diagnose it. Then if you can prove what's wrong and the exact date it all began, you may have a fight on your hands with the windshield replacement company but it's worth fighting about. If they refuse, report them to your local Better Business Bureau. Good luck.
