Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The brake lights work when the trailer brake is used.  Wont work when break pedal is depressed.  I look at the switch on the break pedal it is working fine.  Looked at all fuses and relays.  Not sure where to look.  Some of the one line complaints reference something on the steering column.  There is a relay from the brake to the steering column that will not allow you to take the truck out of park if the break is not depressed.  It also seems to be working fine.

I found another answer on CarGurus. I went back and checked the power to the pedal switch and found nothing. I then was able to trace that back to a fuse labled "Stop" under the hood of the car. That 20A fuse was burned out. I replaced the fuse and it now works fine. I will watch to see if it blows over the next couple of days.
