Check the fuses.

We did check the fuses. Still not it. It has to be something simple. Everything worked fine before heads and pushrods were put in. No one messed with electrical.

89 chevy 1500 brake lights not working. Flashers, signal, parking lights work and break fuse has power when the key is on. Found that that the brake switch has power when the brake is not being used with the ignition on - Lights not on. Depressing the brake pedal = no power to the brake switch with ignition on. I need help bad. My truck us a Chevy 1500 1995 and if I drive about 30 miles or so and hit a red light and go to hit the gas. I'll have the peddle to the floor and it will start off slow then out of no where kick in and speed up. And if I'm going down the high way and the cruise control is on and I'm going up a hill it will do that. Throttle slow then kick in and speed up. Also when I go to slow down pulling in some where the truck sounds like its about to shut off then comes back to normal. What wrong with it? 11 Answers

i have a 95 chevy c1500 v8 200k plus miles. new battery. seems to short out and die, and wont restart. when key is turned on the amp gauge barely moves up. ive tried fumbling with the obvious wires (+ - wires etc) with no change. its done this once before. i let the truck sit for about a month then bought a new batt and problem went away. today while driving it died, with the same symptoms. also ive notice that when driving the blinkers make the amp gauge fluctuate down with every flash. thanks in advance for response 11 Answers
