how come the aluminum wheels from a 2001 s-10 do not fit on my 93 s-10?..they have the same bolt pattern and are both 2 wheel drive but the center holes will not fit over my hubs??..i
i ran into the same problem on my '91 when i got a set of '01 alum wheels..the fix that i did took a few minutes and a touch of careful. but i took a burr bit[like a bit used for cyl head porting] and gently went around the inner circle of the wheel. you don't have to remove much at all. the trick is to not remove too much so the fit on center hub is still good.
the older s10's have a larger hub than the newer ones
for a fix without modifying and potentially doing structural damage to the wheels, install the newer brake drums and hubs.
